Department of Business Administration, World University of Bangladesh organized a seminar on “A brief introduction to the concepts and use of Lean Six Sigma” on February 18, 2017 (Saturday) at WUB Auditorium, Main Campus. The Seminar was graced by Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the University as chief guest while Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University were present as special guests. Mr. Khan Md. Masuk Hossain, Manager Financial Accounting, BRAC was the Key Note Speaker in this seminar. The whole session was presided over by A K Ziauddin Ahmed, Head, Department of Business Administration. Faculty members and students of the Business Administration were present in this seminar and participated in the question answer session. The speaker said that Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving toward six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process – from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.
