Prof. Dr. Selim Ahmed

Professor Dr. Selim Ahmed is a distinguished business scholar and academic leader renowned for his expertise in quality management and service innovation. He earned his Master of Management and Ph.D. in Business Administration (Quality Management) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where his research focused on “Lean Six Sigma and its impact on hospital performance in Malaysia.”

With over 75 peer‑reviewed publications, including four books and multiple book chapters, his work spans Total Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma, healthcare management, service quality, digital transformation, organizational behavior, and human resource management. His scholarly publication has earned more than 2,800 citations, evidencing a strong impact in the field.

Dr. Ahmed plays a pivotal role in academic publishing: he serves as Section Editor for Health Service Insights (SAGE), Consulting Editor for Hospital Topics (Taylor & Francis), while also reviewing more than 350 manuscripts for over 90 Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals.

At WUB, Dr. Ahmed leads with a commitment to fostering academic excellence and advancing research in business and management, shaping the next generation of professionals in Bangladesh and beyond.
