Prof. Dr. Robin Kay showed effective time management for the instructors for online education. The summary of the speech by Dr. Md Mahfuzur Rahman is as follows:

We can not store time, we can’t purchase time although it’s an asset. Time is passing. That’s why we need to be aware of time management. If we can follow some strategies, we can manage time. The strategies are:

1. Plan ahead, set goals: What exactly needs to be done, and in what order? Don’t stop dreaming, i.e. set your goals. Society sometimes defines our goals but we should not stop dreaming or setting goals.

2. Prepare a "To Do"  list for activities: Mark which one is urgent, rank them according to the urgency. Which one is important but not urgent. Which one is urgent but not important? Prepare your to-do list at night for the next day.

Example of urgent but not important: Request from friends is one example of urgent but not important. In that case tell them no, politely but firmly.

Example of important but not urgent: Activities that will provide a future benefit. We should emphasize this type of activity.

3. Track your activities: How much time we are spending on each of the required work or activities to meet the goals or dreams. And measure which activities are stealing our time, i.e., Facebooking, Playing Video Games, Youtubing, etc. Find out the leakage and avoid those unimportant works.

4. Stop procrastination: Don’t make delay in any important work. Don’t indulge in any unimportant but interesting [Facebooking, Playing Video Games, Youtubing, etc.]  work.

5. Act on your plan. Act on your dream.
