External Peer Reviewer Team under HEQEP Project visited World School of Business

Under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) the World School of Business, World University of Bangladesh presented the Self-Assessment Report on 28th October, 2017 to the External Peer Reviewer Team. Md. Azim (Faculty, Business Administration) was the presenter on the report. Prof. Bholanath Dutta, (Founder & President - MTC Global, India), Professor Dr. Mahboob Ali (Member, Dhaka School of Economics), Prof. Dr. Moniruzzaman (Chairman, Management Studies, Jagannath University) were present as a peer reviewer. All the faculty members of World School of Business were present to collaborate with the peer reviewers. During the peer review there was a fruitful discussion between the faculty members and peer reviewers regarding nine criteria of quality teaching and learning. The nine critera are Governance, Curriculum Content Design & Review, Student Admission, Progress and Achievements, Physical Facilities, Teaching - Learning and Assessment, Student Support Services, Staff and Facilities, Research and Extension, and Process Management & Continuous Improvement. External Peer reviewers monitored classroom teaching. They also took feedback from the Existing Students, Alumni, Academic Staff, Non-Academic Staff, and Employers. It should be mentioned here that to meet the globalization challenges raising higher education quality to the world standard is essential. Bangladesh Govt. has taken initiatives to develop the quality of tertiary education. Govt. plans to prepare university graduates in such way that they can successfully compete in the context of international knowledge society. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education, with the assistance of the World Bank, has undertaken HEQEP project. The project aims at improving the quality of teaching-learning and research capabilities of the tertiary education institutions through encouraging both innovation and accountability and by enhancing the technical and institutional capacity of the higher education sector.
