Short Biography:

Mr. Shabuz Mahmud is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the World School of Business, World University of Bangladesh. He joined World University of Bangladesh as a Lecturer in Accounting in July 2011 after obtaining his BBA and MBA degrees in Accounting & Information Systems from University of Rajshahi. Besides accounting related courses, he teaches general business courses occasionally. Apart from teaching, Mr. Mahmud is engaged with academic research and co-curricular activities. He has a number of publications in international journals of USA, UK and India as well as in national journals. Green accounting, computerized accounting systems, corporate governance, disclosure in financial audit, financial performance analysis, angel finance and venture capitalist finance are the areas of his research work. He is always interested in new concepts and thoughts and participated in numbers of seminars, symposiums and workshops regarding research methodology, quality education, accounting and business related issues. He is also engaged as a member of different departmental committees like, the thesis and internship report review committee, the committee of courses, and the cultural committee.
