Biography
Dr. Sharif Hosen is currently serving as a Sr. Lecturer (Human Resource Management) at the Business School, World University of Bangladesh. He is involved actively in teaching, supervision, research, development of new curriculum and courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before joining WUB, he worked as a Visiting Faculty (DIIT) Daffodil Institute IT and Trainer at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Youth Development. Dr. Sharif Hosen achieved his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) & MS in Human Resource Development from Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His PhD title was “Effect Of Organisational Commitment on Relationship Between Selected HR Practices, Psychological States and Work Performance among Frontline Hotel Employees in Bangladesh. He also finished IFC,s Facilitating Face-to-Face Learning Course Under International Finance Corporation World Bank Group. His research areas include Business, Human Resource Development, Human Resource management, Hospitality, SDG and Sustainability. His publications have appeared in various international refereed journals indexed in the, Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, and ERA. Additionally, Dr. Hosen is also serving as a reviewer for some prominent journals including the International Journal of Finance & Economics, Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, and Asian Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting to name a few. He delivered speech in various sessions as a Panel Presenter. He presented papers at several international conferences in Malaysia. He organized and participated various seminar.
