Mr Ujjal Yaman
Chowdhury is a Senior Lecturer of Marketing at the Department of Business
Administration and a founder member of the executive committee of Centre
for Brand Research (CBR) at the World University of Bangladesh. He is also the
moderator of the World University of Bangladesh Entrepreneurship Club (WUBEC).
His general area of expertise lies in sustainability marketing, consumer
behaviour and branding. At WUB he teaches courses on Brand Management,
E-Marketing, Salesforce Management and Principles of Marketing at Graduate
level and Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Management, Service Marketing,
Advertising, Principles of Marketing, Entrepreneurship Development and Global
Marketing at the undergraduate level. Before joining WUB he worked more than
four years in Ready Made Garments Industry as a merchandiser which strengthened
his learning and knowledge in the professional world of marketing. Mr Chowdhury
achieved his MBA and BBA degrees from one of the top-ranking universities of
the country, the University of Dhaka. Furthermore, he attended many seminars on
developing basic presentation skills as a key speaker. Besides he has
participated in many seminars and workshops on strategic management, research
methodology and brand management. His unique classroom style combines
meticulous pedagogy and practical knowledge. These help learners to understand
fundamental issues of marketing operations in complex, and uncertain
environments. Mr Chowdhury’s goal is to ingrain students with a deep curiosity
about the marketing issues surrounding them and make them capable to solve
problems and innovate ideas in a real organizational context.
