Biography
Mr. Abdullah Mohammad Sharif is
an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the
World University of Bangladesh (WUB), where he has been teaching for over
fifteen years. Dedicated to delivering quality and practical education, he
joined WUB in 2010 after serving as a Compliance Officer in a reputed garment
factory, where his responsibilities included health and safety management,
training arrangement, and HRIS maintenance. At WUB, Mr. Sharif served as the
departmental coordinator for a decade and continues to play an active role in
various academic committees, including the examination and syllabus review
committees. He also provides regular counselling to students on academic
progress, career planning, and professional development. Mr. Sharifβs research
interests center on Human Resource Management (HRM), though his publications
also cover areas such as organizational performance measurement and economic
activity analysis. His articles have been published in reputed international
journals across the USA, Europe, Australia, and India. Beyond HRM, he shows
keen interest in the ethical development of individuals in both personal and
professional contexts. An alumnus of the American International
University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Mr. Sharif completed both his graduation and
post-graduation with distinction and was a consistent recipient of merit
scholarships. He has participated in numerous workshops and training programs on
topics such as social compliance management, research methodology, strategic
management, and self-assessment. Known for his teamwork, leadership, and strong
communication and negotiation skills, Mr. Sharif is fluent in both Bengali and
English. Personally, he is friendly, approachable, and cheerful, with a passion
for travel and exploring new experiences. His commitment to education,
research, and ethical development makes him a valued academic and mentor at
WUB.
