The WUB
Business Club of the Department of Business Administration, World University of
Bangladesh (WUB), organized a successful Iftar and Dua Mahfil at Sky Moon
Lounge, Mirpur 11, on March 15, 2025. The purpose of the event was to
strengthen the bond among students, faculty, and administration. Such programs
spread the message of spirituality during the holy month of Ramadan.
The
event was honored by the presence of several distinguished guests, including
Prof. Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and Head of the
Department of Business Administration. Other guests included Md. Iftekharul
Islam Bhuiya, Assistant Professor & Coordinator of the BBA Program; Helaluddin
Ahmed, Assistant Professor; Abdullah Mohammad Sharif, Assistant Professor; Md.
Azim, Assistant Professor; Issa Ahammad, Assistant Professor; Dr. Md. Mohidul
Islam, Senior Lecturer; Liza Bosak, Lecturer in Statistics; and Dr. Sharif
Hosen, Senior Lecturer. Additionally, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of
the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, was present at the program. The event was
further graced by the participation of Mohammed Shaiful Hannan, Joint Controller
of Examinations (Jr.), and Ahsan Thouhid Milton, Joint Registrar (Jr.).
A total
of 70 participants, including 50 students, joined the Iftar, making it a
remarkable and memorable occasion for everyone involved. The event featured a
special Dua led by Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Jalil, Dean of the Faculty of Arts
and Humanities. He included heartfelt prayers for the department, students,
teachers, university, country, oppressed people worldwide, and the well-being
of all those present.
At the
end of the Iftar, there was a photo session with all the participants. After
the Maghrib prayer, an experience-sharing session was held, allowing students
to build meaningful relationships with faculty members.
This
event emphasized the values of unity, spirituality, and student community, and
its success was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the WUB
Business Club, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration,
and students of the Department of Business Administration.
