Seminar on “Career Prospects and Opportunities in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
Department of Tourism
and Hospitality Management organized a seminar on “Career Prospects and
Opportunities in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry” on 3rd March (Tuesday), 2020 from 11.00 am to
1.00 pm in the Auditorium, City Campus, World University of Bangladesh (WUB).
Professor Dr.
Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh was the
chief guest in the seminar. The Guest of Honor in the seminar was Mr. Jabed
Ahmed, CEO, Bangladesh Tourism Board, and Additional Secretary, Ministry of
Civil Aviation and Tourism.
The seminar
started with a welcome speech given by Dr. Selim Ahmed, Head, World School of
Business, World University of Bangladesh.
The distinguished
speaker was Mohammad Saiful Hassan, Deputy Director (Planning & Research),
Bangladesh Tourism Board.
The panel speakers were Mr. Iqbal Kabir Chowdhury Pobon, Chairman, The
West Park Inn Dhaka Hotel, and Mr.
Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, General Manager, The West Park Inn Dhaka Hotel,
and Mr. Mahbub Amin Nahiyan, Manager (Sales and Marketing), The West Park Inn
Dhaka Hotel.
The special guests of the seminar were Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer, World
University of Bangladesh, and Professor Dr. Musfiq Mannan Choudhury, Chairman
(acting), Board of Trustees, World University of Bangladesh.
The seminar was presided over
by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam,
Pro-Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh.
Students and
faculty members of World University of Bangladesh attended the seminar.
